Blessed Ixchel Textiles (BIT) offers a variety of textile goods. "Textile" covers anything from sewn goods, to knitted goods, to woven goods.
In the midst of the High Sierra Desert in Bridgeport,
California, Johanna Bocian (that's me) discovered a new appreciation of her cycles.
In this she decided to be extra nice to her vagina and give it the cloth she knew it deserved.
No more stuffy, plasticy, wasteful disposable products. Funny enough she was blissfully unaware of what other people had made in the way of cloth menstrual wear and designed her pads from the ground up.
They started out small, with pockets and honestly, pretty ugly. Now
creating her work in her hometown of Puyallup, Washington her new pads are what you see here, a vague shadow of the monstrosities they once were.
Today you have beautiful, soft, absorbent pads that let your vagina breathe while letting your blood flow.
In addition, Johanna creates other lovely cloth goods including, but not limited to custom aprons, bags and even doll clothes. Got a project? She's up for the job.
